Laser skin resurfacing works by delivering controlled beams of fractional CO2 energy into the skin. The UltraPulse® Alpha CO2 laser creates microthermal zones that vaporize damaged skin cells while leaving the surrounding tissue intact. Procedure

Your treatment with the UltraPulse® Alpha CO2 laser, will begin with applying a numbing cream to ensure your comfort. Next, the laser emits pulses of light that penetrate the skin's surface to stimulate collagen production and promote skin regeneration. Depending on your treatment plan, the laser may be adjusted in intensity and depth to address all skin imperfections effectively. You can expect the laser treatment to last approximately 30 minutes.

Recovery

You may experience redness, swelling, and a sensation similar to a mild sunburn. These effects are expected and diminish as your skin heals. It's essential to follow the post-procedure care instructions we provide, which may include applying soothing creams, cold compresses, avoiding direct sun exposure, and keeping the treated area clean and moisturized. Most patients return to regular activities in a week to ten days.

Results

The UltraPulse® Alpha CO2 laser stimulates collagen production and promotes skin regeneration, leading to smoother skin, reduced wrinkles and fine lines, diminished scars, and a more even complexion. It takes up to 3-4 months to see the final results, but you will notice improvement during this process. Depending on the severity of the skin damage, you may need a second (but lighter) treatment. Or multiple sessions spaced several weeks apart may be recommended for optimal results.

Keep skin moisturized with a doctor-recommended hydrating cream
Avoid picking, scratching, or peeling flaking skin to prevent scarring
Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen daily to protect healing skin
Stay out of direct sunlight and wear a wide-brimmed hat when outside
Use gentle, fragrance-free cleansers to wash your face without irritation
Refrain from strenuous exercise, hot showers, and saunas for at least a week
Drink plenty of water to support hydration and skin regeneration
Follow all post-procedure instructions provided by your skincare professional

What does the treatment feel like?

During your session, your skin will be cleansed and numbed with a topical anesthetic to keep you comfortable. As the laser delivers energy, you may feel a warm or prickling sensation. For more advanced treatments, a mild sedative may also be recommended. Most patients describe the experience as tolerable, and the procedure typically lasts 30 to 45 minutes.

What is the recovery like after treatment?

During the first ten days to two weeks, you’ll be directly coached and monitored by our special team to make sure nothing impedes the healing process. You should expect some redness, swelling, and peeling in the first week following treatment, similar to a strong sunburn. By days three to five, your skin will begin to flake or peel, revealing healthier, smoother skin underneath. Most patients are fully recovered in 7 to 10 days, though deeper treatments may take up to two weeks. To ensure proper healing, avoid direct sun exposure, wear SPF 50 sunscreen, and keep your skin well-moisturized.

How soon will I see results?

Initial results, such as smoother texture and a more even tone, are often visible within a week or two as your skin heals. However, the most dramatic improvements appear gradually over the following weeks and months as collagen production continues. Many patients notice that their skin continues to improve for three to six months after treatment.
